Hello Ireland Tours in conjunction with the industry group ITOA (Incoming Tour Operators Association) are looking at ways to be more responsible in conducting our business. We already look at programming small family run attractions. We encourage our customers to travel outside the main tourist season and enjoy Ireland around St Patrick’s Day in March or Halloween in October. This helps make the industry more sustainable throughout the year. Getting tourists out to the regions also increases the sustainability of the industry, getting groups to spend more time in ‘off the beaten track’ places of Ireland rather joining the long line at more traditionally well known sites.
We are implementing greener procedures in the office and these efforts will be ongoing. The ‘Green Team’ and will be working towards our green credentials and getting affiliated to Leave No Trace and other qualifications.
